Hand-Forged Rail Spike Door Handles – Queensland Heritage Collection
Crafted from genuine 100-year-old rail spikes salvaged from the historic South East Queensland railway line, these handmade door handles carry a piece of local history into your home. Each handle is individually forged by a local blacksmith using tools passed down from his grandfather, ensuring every piece reflects both skill and tradition.
The handles feature a solid back plate measuring 189mm long and 50mm wide, perfectly complementing the aged rail spike handle—approximately 120mm in length and extending 36mm from the plate. The sturdy design, natural patina, and hand-hammered finish give each handle its own unique character, blending rustic heritage with enduring craftsmanship.
These handles are ideal for barn doors, gates, or statement entryways, adding authentic Queensland history and artisanal warmth to any space.
